| Melissa Keen-Cohen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 1993 and earned her license in 1997. Mrs. Keen-Cohen has been in the mental health field since 1990. Her training and practice have focused on the needs of children and adolescents including aggressive and defiant behavior, abuse, divorce, grief and loss, and sexual aggression. Melissa provides family treatment, consultation to school systems, and group therapy for children. She is recognized by the State of Tennessee Sex Offender Treatment board to administer adolescent psychosexuals and treatment for sex offenders. She also treats adult survivors of sexual abuse, adults with depression, anxiety, and women in domestically violent relationships. Melissa's treatment philosophy is "play through the hurt" and is utilized in her play therapy approach with children. |  |
