Michael E. Cohen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Nationally Certified Addictions Counselor (NCAC II), and a Licensed Alcohol Other Drug Abuse Counselor (LAODOC). He received his master's degree from the University of Tennessee in 1992 and earned his license in 1994. Michael has been practicing independently for
15 years. He has specialized training in drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence, mood and anxiety disorders and engages in psychotherapy with adults and play therapy with children.
Michael uses a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to assist in emotional growth and self-exploration. He attempts to assist clients to become aware of the negative or faulty messages that they are unintentionally sending themselves to assist in improved functioning, moods and life happiness.
