ADHD is a diagnosis given to children and adults with:
- Attention
deficit only
- Hyperactivity
and impulsivity combined with attention deficit
The following is a list of behaviors found with these
disorders. Rarely would all apply to a
single individual.
- Excessive
motor activity
- Often
being on the go
- Climbing
and running a lot
- Fidgeting
and squirming
- Often
getting of seat in class
- Excessive
talking
- Difficulty
doing things quietly
- Easily
distracted
- Forgetful
- Inattention
to detail
- Difficulty
sustaining attention
- Disorganization
- Losing
and misplacing needed objects
- Often
not completing projects
- Going
from one task to the next
- Lack
of interest in tasks requiring sustained mental energy
- Listening
poorly when spoken to
- Difficulty
following instructions
- Irritability
- Impatient
- Difficulty
taking turns
- Interrupting
and blurting out answers
- Intrusiveness
with poor boundaries
